Well, it finally happened. My hosting company cut me off. Granted, this site was running on shared hosting and pushing 2000-5000 pageviews per day, so I’m surprised it lasted this long. For those of you who aren’t web guys, shared hosting is when you’re thrown on a server with hundreds of other sites. Since resources are scarce, if you ever use even a fraction of the resources you’re supposedly allocated, they’ll cut you off.
After being told that I should upgrade to a $25/month VPS, I respectfully told them to piss off and moved CryptoLife over to Digital Ocean, something I’ve been wanting to do for a while now. I’d highly recommend them if you require any sort of web hosting. $5/month is a hell of a deal for what they offer. The process was fairly painless, and the site should be running faster than ever now. If you come across any bugs, let me know.
Side note: If you sent me a message through the contact form during the past 24 hours, there’s a good chance I didn’t get it due to DNS propagation issues. You should probably resend it.
Did you know that I have 3 wonderful advertising spaces available for lease? Yes, it’s true! For the low price of 0.01 BTC you can advertise anything and everything on these prime pieces of digital real estate. Traffic is laser targeted to cryptocurrency enthusiasts, so if you have a good or service that is even remotely related to this sort of thing, you’ll get some nice returns.
